I was speaking with someone the other day who is going through terrible hardship. As we were talking about all that was going on, she started to laugh, which, of course, I couldn't help but join in. None of this was that maniacal, "I am about to snap" laughing. It was the kind that comes when things are so bad, it almost seems silly.

Sometimes we need things to get so awful they are ridiculous before we can laugh at them. But what if we decided to laugh at the little stuff, too? What if we decided that laughter is a great weapon, not just against life's terrible adversities, but against life's every day stuff...traffic and headaches and fender benders. Try it. Try and laugh it off. It may be the best weapon we have!
